This is a Lionel 50 Vintage O Gauge Postwar Motorized Gang Car w/3 Figures. The 50 Gang car is a unique item created by Lionel. It is a small self-motorized unit creating plenty of action on a layout. It has rubber bumpers on each end and when it runs into anything, like a track bumper, a locomotive, or anything else, it reverses direction. When it reverses, one of the crewman spins around faces the other side! With the car‘s ability to operate as an independent unit, Lionel soon introduced several other self-motorized units into their consumer line. Products such as the 60 Trolley, 65 Handcar, and 68 Executive Inspection Car are just a few examples. This is a reliable and durable car. With only general maintenance, it has proven to be a solid performer. Standard features include an orange molded body, die-cast frame, 2 stationary crewmen, 1 moveable crewman, and a rubber bumper on each end.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. The underframe is scratched and tarnished and the wheels show faint wear. The figurines have markings and residue; the third figure is not longer blue. The end rail is detached but included. The instruction manual and original box are not included.
